I'm an animator at The Washington Post, working in documentary journalism and narrative animation for new media. I've had the pleasure of reporting and producing projects both large and small, while living in the Pacific Northwest and Washington D.C. With a decade and a half of storytelling experience, I've worked towards a more contemplative sort of documentary animation that's built on top of a strong public radio sound. In this mode, animation can surpass its stereotype as only being for kids' movies or ads – and fully embrace its power to tell a story.
